Funding resources

During my years pursuing a career in STEM I have faced challenges looking for funding opportunities to get my academic degrees, participate in scientific events among others. I want to summarize the scholarships and awards that I have encountered as an information resource. I hope this is useful for people who are looking to improve their professional profile, specially if they come from a disadvantageous background.

International fellowships

• Fulbright program: This is an international program, I applied to the Colombian commission which has scholarships for master, PhD and exchanges
• Schlumberger fellowship: a program to support women in STEM from developing countries during their PhD programs
• Santander scholarships: there are multiple programs which cover scholarships for master, PhD and exchanges
• Erasmus mundus: They cover scholarships for master programs

Graduate Awards at Iowa State University

• Diane Brandt Scholarship: This is an award for female grad students in STEM
• Brown fellowship: a program to support graduate students
